Hey, i'm looking to upgrade my 2015 a7 facelift black edition steering wheel to paddleshift.
Currently installed is the sline w/out paddles ''below''.

Is it possible to buy the version w/DSG or flat botton w/DSG and re-use the airbag?
I see a good few going on ebay much cheaper without the airbag.

I've been reading that there are different wheels that use different airbag, plus if you have the sport wheel you can re-use the bag but i'm not sure if i have the sport wheel.
Little confusing so any help is appreciated!

A quick search for a7 dsg and flat bottom showed be the below. The rear mounting metal look a bit different.

You can reuse the airbag if you are getting the non-flat bottom wheel.

Thank you for the reply, do you know if i have a 1 or 2 stage airbag?
Also what is the reason why i can't use the airbag with the flat bottom just out of curiousity?

Funny, i was emailing an ebay seller regarding round round steering wheel paddle for sale ''no airbag'' and he said he upgraded to a flat bottom and used the bag.
    Strange.

Thank you for the reply again.

    Regards,

You can use an airbag from an A4 to use a flat bottom wheel. Your current airbag wont fit on a flat bottom. Think its little smaller and the plug in connect is smaller too.

    Regards,
Pretty sure your airbag is 2 stage. The reason you can not use the bag from a round wheel is: The flat bottom bag attaches to the wheel differently.

There is no way that seller used a bag from a round wheel on a flat bottom wheel.
