    Dog Bone inserts

Curious if anyone has put on either an 034 or APR dog bone insert yet on their RS3? I'm also looking at getting the ECS rear subframe and rear diff mount upgrade. I've had other 034 products in the past, but other than a tune i have never bought any hardware from APR. For the ECS mounts i've been happy with the previous products i've purchased, but any and all comments welcome. Thanks.

Just ordered the 034 insert for myself. Was going to also get the upgraded dog bone but concerned it may be too much vibration so going in steps. Love 034 stuff.

Yah that was my concern with the 034 inserts being aluminum compare to the ECS inserts which are polyurethane. So i figured the ECS inserts and a dog bone would have less unwanted vibrations compared to all aluminum inserts. Maybe i'm over thinking it but just make sense the polys would deal with the vibrations better. I had all 034 inserts on my last car and noticed a difference in vibration so I'm trying to avoid that this time around.

I just had my 034 dogbones inserted last week and have not noticed any abnormal vibrations. Granted its only been a week.

Ok well that's good to hear. Have you noticed a difference with the insert compared to oem?

    034 aluminum for 5000 miles...no NVH issues.

Ditto. Our cars were in at the same time, for the same thing :D

From talking with Troy, I'll know more on track this weekend.

Not specific to an RS3, but I've had the 034 insert on my S3 since roughly 100 miles on the odometer. Sitting close to 30k now and I've never once noticed any kind of noise from it. Had them on my previous 2 Audis as well and also never noticed any noise. Get their rear subframe mounts as well. Hell, get all their offerings.

Ive had the 034 dogbone insert on both my RS3s. The gear shifts feel smoother and no additional vibration or noise induced.

I'm wondering if the other ones will increase NVH....like the spherical one

My biggest gripe is the transmission movement...it's reduced a lot between shifts with the dog bone but I want it gone!

That's what I do. Even before I sold parts... 034 goods were my very first mod. I've run most every 034 offering on my A5/GTI/SQ5/S3/S4. And honestly... these cars are a bit numb, so the bit of extra feel felt in the cabin honestly adds something, IMO.

Yah i had all they carried on my b8.5 A4. More than likely will do the same here. I don't believe 034 has differential mounts though, i could be wrong.

Same with me on my B8.5 S4. Quality stuff, definitely enjoyed the tighter overall feel of the car.

APR's dogbone mount does not fit the RS3 & TTRS transmission, but I was told they're working on one that does. 034 Motorsports dogbone mount does fit as far as I know.

Well that's good to know ECS tuning has one that's stated it fits 2018 RS3 version 2. Is this the updated one or not?

That’s just the insert, which does fit. It’s the actual dogbone mount that doesn’t fit.
