    Oil Catch Can Necessary?

    Hello!

I have a B8.5 S5 (3.0T) that’s pretty heavily modified and have been contemplating adding an Oil Catch Can setup but I’ve held off because I’m not sure that it’s really necessary and it seems like it requires some pretty regular maintenance. Also I live in Chicago and I believe the setup needs to be removed or modified for Winters?

I’m looking for some wisdom here on whether or not it’s necessary and useful for the 3.0T Engine as I’ve heard conflicting information.

Please let me know your thoughts and feel free to share your setup if you have one.

    Thanks!

Necessary? No. But it can't hurt.
