    Hi guys.

    Yep, I'm confused as anything with H&R's stupid catalog. Can anyone help me here?

    If I get PN - 28732HA1, I presume this will be a 29001VA2 front spring (25mm drop from SQ5 height) and a 28732-1 Rear spring (35mm drop from SQ5 height)..........?!?!

    Is that correct? wanting to drop the back a touch more than the front to balance it out.

    Alright, for future reference for us confused aussies. Contacted HR springs and their information was just as confusing. Contacted the Australian rep for HR, please see below;

    The kit we suggest for this vehicle is 29001-3.

    Lowers the front 25mm and rear 20 mm

    Front spring part number 29001 VA, rear is 29001 HA

    28732-1 has front spring 28732-1 VA, and rear 28732-1 HA. This is the super low kit, lowers the front 60mm and rear 50mm.

    We do not stock this part number, as we tested it on Australian roads, and it is too low. The car bottoms out very easily, and we don’t deem it acceptable for use here.

    Did Australia get the tTDI or petrol engines in the SQ5?

    I have lowered 3.0 Q5 with H&R and it sits just a little lower than my SQ5.

    Been thinking about getting the height adjustable KW Springs, but I would hate it if it becomes bouncy like some from US claim.

    No bounce when properly matching dampers to springs (aka coilovers, but you don't always have to pay a huge premium). I drove > 30k miles on a Q5 with H&R springs and stock dampers. The ride quality started out harsh and became significantly worse over time. This is, without question, subjective. My "harsh" may be your "firm" or vice versa. At trade-in time, I did not inspect, but my guess is the shocks were well on the path to failing. Pre-compression is bad. Adjustable springs carry with them the temptation to go as low as possible. Even more pre-compression is even more bad. When I was shopping to lower my SQ5 - before I could even convey that that I wasn't interested in buying them - I had two shop owners recommend against them. These guys have seen the results of this mismatch, and I'm continually surprised it's not discussed more often here.

    I've got > 14k miles on my well-matched H&R springs & Bilstein shocks setup, and remain remarkably pleased at the ride quality. I actually got to ride in a stock '17 SQ5 w/ 21" wheels last week, and managed to keep the thought to myself that the ride quality was lousy in comparison.
