So my DRC finally decided to take a dump. Current Setup is DRC with H&R Springs. Looking at KW V1 as an alternative. I know most of you run a V3's but this is for a non daily driven car and most likely a weekend car with no track purpose. Anyone has experience with them on a B7 RS4 platform? I've ran H&R, Stasis, Bilstein and ST, and Konis and KW on my previous cars and by far, I think Konis are the most comfortable setup I've had on my old B6 A4..

I had the STs on my B7 A4 and they rode well but were too bouncy. Especially on a car like the RS4 the KW V1s will probably be a downgrade. Theyre essentially the same as the STs from what I know.

I have the Bilstein PSS9 on my RS and they are amazing. Super smooth and very planted. Ive had many complements from my friends who competitively track their cars about how balanced they feel. Comfy yet handle amazing. I recommend the PSS9s

I've had a ride on v1s in a b5 s4. Rode like absolute shit, only good for going straight imo. I'd highly recommend shelling out for the v3s if you want to maintain the ride quality.

Do you know what revision your DRC was at before it started leaking? I was on rev C with an H&R setup like yourself and daily drove, accruing over 75K miles on DRC+H&R with no signs of failing when I sold.

I loved the DRC setup, worked great!

I don't know about the V1's but I have the V3's and I feel that set is just perfect for the RS4. Slightly firmer than DRC but perfectly acceptable ride.

Be sure to post up a review or some feedback once you have put some miles on them.

Also, mind sharing what you paid for them? PM is fine too.

I think the price i paid is for a homie hookup. lets just say, it was too good of a price to pass up. Considered paying for a lower version for a V3 setup..if you know what i mean.

UPDATE: Coilovers went in yesterday.. Shop took a little while but they were able to dialed it in to the ride height that I wanted. My first initial impression is the car feels near identical to OEM but more firm and rode quite nice. They have worked with numerous RS before using the same setup and they recommended to adjust the factory settings to +1 on dampening.
