Has anyone successfully installed this lip or something similar without removing the front cover? Directions recommend removal, just trying to see if it's possible. Thanks

I installed my ECS lip without removing my bumper . I assume it’s a Similar application.

I'm having a body shop do mine. I guess you could always use self tapping screws rather then the nut/bolt approach Deval recommends. I did the rear ECS piece without taking off the rear bumper but ended up still having to take it off because like all ECS products the fitment was shit and I had to have the clips customized to achieve a better fit.

Yeah.. Just seems a waste to have a shop do such a simple job.. Their reasoning for removing the bumper is for best fitment, but theoretically you could achieve best fitment without removing the front cover

If its a B8, the deval lip replaces the chrome middle lip. The chrome middle lip has 3 or 4 bolts that are difficult to get to without removing the bumper. It is possible, but you would need to remove the lower trays, both of them and then get some extension magic going to pull those bolts off.

Hence, why people generally install it while the bumper is off the car. I have the lip for the b8 and I havent done it yet because i want to get it wrapped, but I will be pulling the bumper to install it this summer.

Never got around to it. I need to pull the bumper to redo the vinyl on the crash support... so...
