    Reading ethanol percentage

I just got a ODB II bluetooth reader and was hoping to get the ethanol percentage for my gas (I have a B8.5 car, got some E85 at a local gas station), but I can't seem to find the reading.

PID for ethanol percentage seems to be 0152, but I get no data from that. Anyone know what's up or can point me to the right direction?

    Thanks!

Maybe this? But you need a Ross-Tech Cable

I got it to work with the bluetooth reader with a different app that already had it precoded. I dunno if Audi's using a secret code or if I just set it up wrong on the first app.

The app that worked was DashCommand. It's not free but does have a trial.

Oddly, that's the on I tried first. It didn't have it predefined and the ones I added didn't work...

Do you know what the PID is

On my B8.5 CPMA motor/ecu the only way I can find it with vcds now is through advanced measuring blocks. On immediately older platforms you were able to get that kind of info through measuring blocks, but not anymore on the B8.5. The modules are a different protocol and I doubt a low level obdII scanner is capable of seeing it.

If it helps I only run E85 and since the weather has warmed up it maxed out at 85% exactly and no more.

In the winter it stayed at 78-79% the whole time due to petrol starting power. BTW our flexfuel models have an extra injector to address colder start up with E85.

I use Torque pro and there is an ethanol display. I haven't filled it with E85 since I got the app but it reads 8-10% from my <10% 93.
