    Hey Audizine!

    We decided to make a B9 A4 Revo Mega Thread since we've been doing some flashes as of late! In this thread we will be compiling data and information regarding Revo's software tune for these 2.0t 252hp engines. (and eventually for the other engines as they come available)


    To start this off, here is the Revo Power Comparison video they shot to demonstrate a Revo tuned B9 A4 avant stage 1 vs S4 on a stock tune.




    As you can see, the 2.0t powered A4 is woken up with just a tune!

    Our Stage 1 software upgrade is flashed through the ODB-II port leaving the factory ECU intact and providing impressive peak power gains. Whilst the peak gains are impressive, this doesn't tell the full story; our software has been refined to give you increased torque and power throughout the rev range without compromising on drivability, smoothness or power delivery.

    The increases in torque give immense flexibility in any gear, and the engine revs out to redline much more enthusiastically than stock. The enhanced delivery of power achieved by the Revo software calibrators means that fuel economy remains unaffected, with some customers noting up to a 10% improvement in fuel economy as the engine no longer has to work as hard in each gear; this can vary depending on driving style.


    During testing and development, stock performance was higher than the manufacturer's quoted 252BHP & 370NM
    Peak gains: +47BHP / +65NM
    Max gains: +52BHP @ 6000 RPM / + 84NM @ 2900RPM
    Peak figures seen during development were 333BHP & 450NM


    We recently acquired a B9 A4 to use for testing, (more on this later) but had the chance to run some V-Box logs of the car before and after the stage 1 flash to illustrate the gains. These were shot back to back, within 2 hours time. Both V-Box logs done on the same road, as you can see the road has a slight height change to it. The stock log was done 3.8 meters down hill, while the stage 1 log is nearly level at 0.01 meters.

    We picked up a half second 0-60 with just a tune, no other changes!








    Outside air temp was about 75-80*F on this day, 91 octane fuel used, stock car, stock tires.

    Revo ran 0-60 stock 5.20s and stage 1 4.29s on the equivalent of 93 octane fuel, and outside air temp of around 59*F.



    Stay tuned as we collect more data. We are planning to add Revo hardware to this car as its available, such as intake, intercooler, exhuast, stage 2, and beyond. Hoping to get it out to a 1/4 mile track soon as well, unfortunately Summer is upon us in Southern California, but we will do what we can!

    Revo has a B9 S4 in their development fleet as well. From what we are told, the new ECUs are a whole different animal compared to the other cars. Hope to hear something soon!

    Yes, the Polish dealer Revo replied that there was no Stage 2 yet
    I have a car bought in the USA
    that's why I'm asking here if Stage 2 is already developed for this car and engine.

    Made a quick trip to our local track Fontana Dragway last night for a few stock versus tuned passes in our A4.

    2018 A4 Sedan
    18" S4 wheels
    S4 front brakes
    H&R Lowering springs
    Full interior w/ spare tire
    1/3 tank of 91 Shell V Power
    Revo Stage 1 91 octane file

    All factory hardware including the cover over the intercooler.

    Best time of the night was a 13.544 @ 99.68mph

    Flashed to stock and knocked out a 14.094 @ 95.17mph

    Also ran the Dragy app while we were there, attached a photo from the 13.544 pass to show how close it is. Note it was in KMH and not MPH.












    We plan to get the car back out there on an ethonal blend / race gas, pull the spare, etc and try to crack low 13s on stage 1. This is by no means a fast track, guys on the east coast with 93 fuel are probably going to run low 13s if they haven't already.

    I like that intake...but foam filter isnt the best for filtration no? any beta testing discounts?

    We have the first US kit coming for our A4 I see you are in Canada, perhaps you can inquire to your local Revo dealer to be the first to have it up there? Foam works well, we've used the Revo foam kits for several years now with no issues. Filters should be inspected / cleaned just like a standard maintenance interval calls for (we usually check every 15-20k miles)

    Yes, fastest 1/4 mile B9 2.0t on Dragy, and it has completely stock hardware, just a tune. Can't wait to get the stage 2 performance package on this car and try for low 12s!

    We took the A4 out to our local four wheel Mustang Dyno to see what stage 1 would do versus stock!



    The gains look good, the graph looks good, power is up everywhere!

    We will re visit this dyno once the car is stage 2 and beyond for data comparison, but we feel the real results are on the 1/4 track & day to day driveability.

    Stage 2 requires a high flow downpipe system, however Revo also recommends intake, intercooler, charge pipes, and turbo muffler delete.

    We have the full Revo Performance pack going on our car soon!

    Revo's Performance Package made its way onto our car!

    What this kit consists of:

    Revo Air Intake System - High flow foam filter and turbo inlet hose
    Revo Charge Pipes - Turbo outlet pipe and throttle body pipe which is tapped for water methanol injection.
    Revo Intercooler System
    Revo Turbo Muffler Delete
    Revo High Flow Catalyst or Test pipe

    We received an early version of this kit (essentially the first one out of Revo HQ in the UK) and the Catalyst wasn't ready yet, but we were anxious to get everything else on!


    The bumper came off in no time! Note, this is the very first production kit so the intercooler is in raw finish. However, all of the intercoolers will be painted black, just like the other Revo kits.
