    2010 APR Stage 2 B8 S4

Hello all, I just purchased a 2010 S4 today! Let me first say that I am super excited about this purchase! The car is in great shape! It has an APR supercharger drive pulley, and stage 2 tune, also the APR DSG TCM flash. Since I am new to the B8 world, I’m wondering about things that a new B8 owner should know! Also, I’d like some input on future mods. Opinions greatly appreciated!IMG_0641.jpg

Next step would be an Exhaust. Since you have a 2010, only the 90mm will fit. You don't need any downpipes. Basically your two choices are:
    a) 90mm black tips $1842
    b) 90mm silver tips $1733

Regarding Intakes, I believe this is a good one:

I would invest in a V1 Radar detector. It has saved me numerous times.

First thing should be to change your dsg fluid, you can fit 102mm tips on your exhaust also.

Umm, it's common knowledge that 2009-2012 can fit 90mm tips only. 2013+ can fit 90 or 102mm. OP's model year allows him to buy only the 90mm size.

I just went on AWE's website. Entered "Audi S4 2010" I can only select the 90mm version. They won't even offer me the 102mm based on my model year. C'mon bruh, this is common knowledge. Maybe if OP changes his rear diffuser.

102mm isn't offered for B8s because they will rub the stock diffuser just a bit but it's not as if they just completely won't fit, it's kind of just a fit & finish thing

Congrats! I hope that excitement stays with you for the good and bad times with the car. Exhaust for sure, 90mm from what I'm told. If it were me, I'd make sure it can handle the upgraded power. Order the diff and trans mounts tonight if they aren't on there. I can only speak for rear sway, Alu Kreuz, and the CR15 brace, but any combo of those should be the minimum I would guess. Wider rims and/or smaller offset too. I haven't had the cat issue, but maybe have the mechanic check that out. Good luck!!!!

OP! Congrats on your purchase! Few questions open to all really

    - how is longevity and reliability on these cars?
-There is chance this is in my near future- how did you come to finding and selecting this one ?

AWE exhausts are raspy and they drone without the AWE res downpipes.

$1800 Exhausts are a waste of money on this platform.

Thanks for your input, I’m leaning towards doing a custom valvetronic exhaust system! I had an AWE system on my B6... and sad to say, I will never purchase another exhaust from AWE again.

Thanks for the input! I believe that handling will be the first point of modification as the car already makes 455 hp! Then a custom valvetronic exhaust! I’m planning to buy h&r sport springs, front and rear sways, diff and trans mounts! And if I have a cat issue... test pipes it is!

Believe it or not... craigslist! Found a guy selling one for a seemingly decent price who knew what he was talking about, and pulled the trigger!

Just upgrade things that are worn or should be replaced
    Springs, brakes, bushings

Save your money, cars almost a decade old don’t spend 50% if it’s value on an exhaust/intake, etc
You’re in a the sweet spot as far as tunes for dd

I never thought I'd pay for one but after I got my awe touring was Def worth it. Car is soo much more fun. My awe touring stock downpipes has no drone and sounds great.

Stage 2 is indeed enough power for this platform really. My other greatest joy has been my coilover, cr-15, o34 x brace, and stasis rear sway bar suspension setup. Without even upgrading my tires the car handles much differently. I am able to do all the things I was able to do before and I feel as though the car at the limit is now beyond my comfort zone.

If in search of more power there are a few sensible overlapping maintenance procedures. Procure a ported supercharger core, pull the supercharger to swap and simultaneously investigate for a carbon cleaning and intercooler core failures.
