2018 TTRS - Audi Exclusive Mexico Blue - It has ARRIVED

Well, it arrived last weekend, picked it up last Saturday but wanted some good photos, and was hoping to get the tints installed before this weekend. Alas, tints aren't scheduled till Wed, can't wait to be rid of the fishbowl. Dealer is also having it fully professionally polished out and full paint correction to really make the color pop while they do the tints.


So I ran down to Pikes Peak today, get a good way through break in and get some pretty cool backdrops for some photos. DSLR was giving me some issues, it actually looks a lot better in person.













Got more than a few double takes and several comments on it. The guy at the brake check station was like "Wow, that is really blue!"


Now I just have to figure out wheels.............

Gorgeous car. I love these types of blues on smaller coupes. The 718s in Miami Blue are one of my favorites, your TTRS is up there now too!

Thanks all, I wanted something that stood out in the sea of sheep in their white/silver/gray SUVs and bland sedans, my first choice was Fahrenheit Orange but my dealer suggested this, and he had an R8 in the showroom in this color which helped visualize it and I just knew it had to be what I got.

This might be the first new car I keep more than 3 years....... LOL

It's a Porsche color. Most likely named after the color of the Ocean water in Mexico. Hence, Mexico Blue. They also have Riviera and Miami Blue as well.

Insane color, I wanted an Atlantis Metallic TTRS so bad. My F80 M3 was Atlantis, the wait was ridiculous from what I gathered so I settled for the Vegas Yellow ha ha. Because it's bright, just like Vegas...

A friend of mine ordered his in Nogaro which is slightly darker than this, the "Smurf".

Beauty, I often kick myself for not going "Exclusive" in my car, a lot of things Id like to do in the interior which will now cost much more.

Will do some more photos after I let the detailer ceramic coat it, kinda dirty as it is from deliver trip back home.

I went with red and black interior, kept it pretty simple, the wait was long enough just for the paint, can't imagine the wait for a nogaro interior.

Love Nogaro, trying to talk the wife into ditching the BMW after her lease and getting a Nogaro Audi....like maybe the RS4 Avant if they bring that over as they have teased. lol


What's funny is this Mexico Blue does NOT photograph well. The color in the pictures is definitely not the color in person. It is darker and more an "electric" blue than the powder blue it looks like. It's funny because I original wanted Riviera Blue, when I looked it up online I was not interested at all. Then when I went down to look at the color chips at the dealer he smiled and pointed out the R8 they had in the showroom in Mexico Blue. Totally different color and I loved it, plus the angles of the R8 are very similar to the TT-RS so I knew the color would appear the same. I went through the entire book with that R8 staring at me and finally pulled the trigger on Mexico Blue.

My tints and full detail got postponed, hoping it gets rescheduled soon LOL
