C8 S7’s purported 2.9 Liter V6 engine

While nothing has still been announced regarding the next S7’s engine, safe bets are probably on what is fast becoming a ubiquitous Porsche and Audi engine: the 2.9 liter V6 found in the Panamera and RS5 respectively.

Disappointing? Yes.

I did find this interesting video that shows a cutaway of the engine. I’m a total engineering nerd what it comes to this stuff. Still waiting for self-study guide for this engine to pop up on the internet like existing 4.0 that is available. If you happen to know where it can be found, please post a link here. Or if you know more about this engine, post away; I’m interested in knowing more.

Just like the Gen 3 E888, it looks like they finally got rid of the exhaust manifold, and integrated it into the head.
