    Hi guys!

Im moving back to NJ after some time in FL. I was all set to go Stage 2 with my 8V A3 (bought the parts and everything) but then got the job in NJ.

Will I pass emissions with APR Stage 2 With a CTS turbo catted downpipe?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Tyler

    Hey, welcome back home Tyler!

As far as emissions go, unless things changed, freehold dmv is just in and out. Went with the mods listed below and didn't have a problem at all, so unless it's out of the way for you, then you're fine
    JHM St2 w/HPFP, JHM HFC+B7 S4 FI Catback, JHM St1 Clutch/Flywheel, S4 Recaros, JHM Shift-Trio+Cross Rod, Bi-xenon Headlights, JOM Smoked Tail Lights, Enkei PF01, Conti DWS, Solo-werks S1 Coilovers

    More to come

    NJ Emissions

What year is yours? I have stage 2 as well and my car is registered here. It fell under the new car rule and got a sticker 5 years after my model year so I’m good until 2021. I moved here last year from Alabama so the emissions stuff worries me as well.

In NJ, if you go to the DMV inspection stations, they plug in to the OBDII to scan for errors and they do visual check to ensure you have cats (no sniff test). As long as you have cats and no errors then you should be good to go. If your vehicle is less than 5 years old then no inspection needed until after the 5th year as stated above.

You don't need an inspection if your car is less then 5 years old in NJ?

That’s correct! One of the benefits of moving to NJ from NY. Plus the inspection station only inspects emissions. You’re at the mercy of the cops when it comes to front window tint. I’ve been following that NY tint law thread
