Hello all. Just picked up a used a6. Got it knowing had issues. To start I assume it’s at least J518 module bad maybe more. Steering is locked , shifter is locked even if you release the shifter via button under ash tray the wheels don’t move. Won’t start nor does it turn over. Also the key won’t come out once in unless you push in the small pin. Tried to wake up the car using vag com. But it wouldn’t talk to it. Hold brakes, emergency flashers on , and held in high beam( now I was told maybe I needed to flicker the high beam every few seconds would this make a difference?). I figure either the module is completely shot or I have a bad fuse or relay. Any idea where I should start??
Edit just found out my friends vag com cable only supports up to 2004. So that’s why it wouldn’t connect. He just ordered the newer style so I will hope it wakes the car up
