Dealer wants about $200 for the front plate bracket for my 2018 S3, knowing the dealer overcharges on just about everything do you guys know of any cheaper front license brackets you'd recommend?

OEM or non-oem as long as it gets the job done.

I was going to go the whole tow hitch route but due to reading a lot of people having problems with the parking sensor I think I'm just going to center it to avoid this problem.

I have the platypus tow hook bracket ($90ish a couple years back). Great looks and quality if you need a front plate, but occasionally it does trip the sensors during parking, almost 100% of the time in the wet. I don't know if it's possible not to trip the sensors near the tow hook because the front two sensors are pretty close together, so the farther you get from one, the closer you get to the other.

My wife’s A6 uses the same holder our cars do. She had a truck with trailer hitch back into her. That’s the only thing it broke (less than 3mph). Found an identical to OEM version on amazon. About $15. Tons of choices. Way less than $200.

Really? All I found on amazon were the tow hitch ones, care to post a link of the one your wife bought?

Also can't find much online for S3 front license mount, is the S3 mount the same as the A3?

Looks like it’s $70 for our car. Some different cutouts and such. Still, hope is helps. Way less than $200. Amazon is great about returns too in case it’s not a perfect fit.

Hmm. Sure about a 2017, but not the 18. Maybe call a local Audi dealer and ask if the 17 and 18 have the same part number? I doubt it’s different as it’s a pretty simple piece of plastic, but it’s an Audi so who knows for sure.
