    MMI Hardware and Software Upgrade

Hello, I am sorry if this has been discussed but I searched for hours and there is alot of incomplete and outdated info. I have a 2013 Audi RS5 and the MMI is super slow and crashes or freezes sometimes.

My version is hn+_us_au3g_p0609, and I believe that is what came with my car stock in 2013. Also I do not have Google earth and it only says 2G on the screen. So either the SIM is expired or since I shipped the car from Texas to Oregon I don't have the right network here.

My Questions are thus. How do I update the MMI, and how do I then update the map database. And what is the "Hardware Update" that can or needs to be done to use something other than T-mobile?

If your screen says 2G then you most likely have the old modem and software/firmware. There was an upgrade a number of years back but that is long gone now. you could possibly upgrade using 2014+ components but it is likely to be expensive and troublesome. you might want to look into some of the options offered by RSNav.

I think it says 2G because my data via my SIM is expired, I read somewhere that the networks changed and to get 3G back you have to swap to AT&T, those RSNav upgrades look sweet!
