DSG Clunk after Liquimoly Oil change

Recently I did a DSG oil and Filter change on my S6, and I used the LiquiMoly 8100 Oil. So when coming to a stop I've noticed a 3-4 or 3-2 downshift clunk that the car didn't have before, it was OEM oil in there before. I've also used this stuff in my S4 with the DSG as well and it also had the 4-3 downshift clunk (I don't remember if it had it prior to me doing the oil change). I was just wondering if it's all in my head or if other people have had any of the same symptoms as me when they go to LiquiMoly 8100. Also why does this stuff have to smell so bad? the Oem stuff barely has any odor but this stuff is horrible and it lingers. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Is the fluid level correct? You have to check the fluid level while the transmission is at a certain temp.

I figured I could save a buck, OEM oil is twice the price at 6-7 quarts.

Fluid level is correct I have a Vag-com and let it warm up to 40C before pulling the filler plug. I am an airplane mechanic by trade so I kind of know what I'm doing.

I know with the ZF trans, there is no substitute for the original ZF-made fluid, no matter what the bottle says. The formula is proprietary to them and they do no license it out. I'd imagine it's a similar situation for the DSG trans fluid.
