I want to hear my turbo damnit! What mod will help me? If it has a bit performance that'd be great too! CAI? Aftermarket DV? I am stock except for afe filter. Going to go stage 1 APR here pretty soon as well. Bring on the flaming and sporadic useful tip!

Any intake will make the spool audible. I went with a K&N Typhoon and it dramatically increased the sound.

I have a K&N typhoon intake that I'm looking to get rid of. PM me if you're interested and I can get you some pics.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the blow off-like sound it makes. And that sound gets sharper with a GFB DV+.

Sounds like what I'm looking for. 2 questions, is it CARB certified and will it work on my car? It's a 2015 Allroad.

The part number for the one I have is 69-9505T. I think it's only compatible up to the year 2013. So I guess probably won't work on your car.

Yes it's CARB legal. It comes with a sticker. Check the website to see what fits.

The GFB? Yes definitely. I didn't buy it for the sound. I bought it to replace the faulty OEM one (turns out it was the turbo) and I noticed much better throttle response right away.

Keep in mind these cars sound like crap with open intakes. Its not like the B6 or even B7 cars. with open intakes under part throttle these cars make very audible and very weird groaning noises throughout the time the throttle is pressed. It will sound like the car is broken. It does not sound performance oriented at all.

If you want just the nice blowoff sound, id get a spacer.

Also be advised the K&N intake stretches out the MAF wife to maximum stretch. If you are hard on the car with launches the MAF wire can eventually malfunction. This is a definite design defect on K&N behalf and I brought it to their attention probably 5 years ago now.

This gives you a good representation of it...

I just added one of these. Paired with an open intake you'd like like get a nice DV "flutter" sound. I just have the AFE drop in now and it does it sometimes, but it's not that loud. An HFC and/or tune may get you that sound more so too.

    https://www.ecstuning.com/b-forge-pa...iABEgI2f_D_BwE

The DV Spacer will definitely get you an atmospheric BOV sound without throwing a check engine light, but just know that you'll be letting some air into the atmosphere that your motor thinks is being recirculated.

I hear ya. These 2.0T engines are already pretty damn noisy on their own. No need to aggravate the situation.

Personal opinion: If you want more sound go for an aftermarket exhaust.

Ok ill add to it. I do have that as-well. A winter setup and a summer set up..

I just stuck a POD onto the end of the MAF and choo chooed away. (not recommended. Purely for sounds)

Supposedly better throttle response. The gfb DV+ spacer adds a little sound at shifts too

This is exactly why I chose the stealth mode on my B8.5. Stock intake (with AFE drop-in).
