I am sure there is a thread out there talking about this, but I am new to the Audi world. I recently purchased a 2015 A3 and love the car, but the wheel gap is killing me! Any suggestions on springs that give it an aggressive stance. I plan on keeping the stock 18x8 10 spoke wheels for a bit, so anyone with pics would help as well.

    Thanks!

    Are you using spacers?

New to the A3 as well... is the stock ride height really 4.5 finger wheel gap? This is for my son, but the look is killing me. I can't tell if the previous owner has over-charged shocks in there or if that's the way the come.

Separately, we drove a car with the sports suspension. Does anyone know what the ride-height is for that set-up? Do they come with different swaybars? My goal is to make the car safer and a little sportier, but I am not looking to make him to drive faster (teenager). The "stock" suspension on the car with the sports package was nice. Also, we are in CO and I worry about potholes, especially with his car, so sporty is good, but too stiff is not.

    All comments appreciated!

What are some larger diameter tire sizes that will fit?

And this is on neuspeed springs with the same 245/40 R18 tires. very good ride height and ride quality would recommend these as an intermediate step before coilovers20180330_161630.jpeg

    Ralphie,
What are your wheel dimensions to run the 245’s? Any rubbing?
Sounds like a nice setup with the B14’s

Hey wheels are 18x9 et30, there was slight rubbing with the neuspeed springs on the fender liner on decent sized bumps at highway speeds (60+ mph) but other than that never rubbed. bilsteins have no rub because of new shocks in rear and stiffer spring rate

The bilstein coils come with new rear shocks. I had the oem shocks when I had the neuspeed springs

Thanks. For the Neuspeed set-up, what differences did you note? How much stiffer? Did you feel the stock shocks were sufficient? Etc. (Were these super sport or just the "standard" Neuspeed springs?)

Let me add, I don't want any racer-boy bounce. My wife will use the car occasionally. She was fine when we drove a model with the sports package. Any thoughts how close to that the Neuspeed set-up is?

Also, have you modified the sways in any set-up?

    Thanks!

Versus stock the springs were about the same slightly stiffer but not so stiff that you're bouncing like if you were on a trampoline the only time it was kinda bouncy was like I had said before at highway speeds (60+) when you hit a decent sized bump (metal plates from road construction or over train tracks at highway speeds) but daily driving was very good. I'll have to double check when I get home to se which ones they were exactly. My car had the normal suspension ive never driven an a3 with sport suspension so I cant speak on that. I had neuspeed rear sway bar and that was a very noticable change 100% recommend

Any skipping with the rear sway? Did you keep the front stock sway?

    Thanks!

No skipping what so ever around time driving remained the same. I never put in a front sway just the rear

Sorry to get a little off-topic, but does anyone here have experience with an Audi A3, Sport suspension, with H&R Sport Springs? I have a set in the garage, but am curious about the shock damping with these springs as I plan on running the OEM dampers for a couple years until I can save up some $$$ for B14's.
