    Intermittent avant trunk light

My avant trunk light and the light on the hatch don't work sometimes. It's pretty rare right now. Here are my observations.

    - both light either don't work or work together.
    - when the light don't work, the DIS displays that my trunk is open. Looking at the electrical diagram there's only one switch, correct? That would eliminate the possibility of being a trunk open detection issue.
    - Any idea where the T17f is located more precisely? I should be able to test there if I have power/ground before I move on to cutting my carpet and testing at the comfort module.
    - the carpet does is never wet, so there should not be comfort module water damage

if there is a flexing cable to that trunk , start there. Audis are notorious for it breaking.

Had it occur a few times today. I opened and closed the lid a few times and it did not come on. A few minutes latter it started working again. I did not move the car. The trunk light does not have a flex point. I think the CCM is faulty. What kind of relays does it use? Solid state or coil? It seems like once in a while it just doesn't send power out.
