Today was the first REALLY hot day where I live, it was close to 90 degrees out. I was out driving my B6 S4 and i tried to turn the AC on. I had never tried to since i got the car in the winter, but the ECON button light was stuck on and the car was only spitting out hot air. When the car was on but the engine wasn't running, I was able to turn the light off, but it would still only spit out hot air. When the engine running, the light will stay stuck on. Any ideas? I would prefer to get through summer with AC!

If you have access to VAG check AC pressure switch. Possible you have low freon pressure. Had the same thing happen to me last year when I replaced the condensor (due to small hole) and dryer. Turns out I cut my A/C pipe oring when installing, didnt apply lubrication....... lesson learned.

Do a physical check, mainly in the areas around the condenser. If you see a dark spot that's probably where the leak happened.

Or ask in the "North East Tri-State" specific forum for a member near you with Vag-com and see if they can scan your car for you. Another option would be to hit up a VW/Audi show near you and ask around. There's bound to be someone with Vag-com capabilities there.

Thanks, I know a guy near me that owns a private shop and does work on specifically Audi's. I will text him and see if he has one.
