Anyone here running Bosch F5DP0R side fires?

I've been experimenting with plugs to try to eliminate this mystery misfire and the ones that ran the best were the triple ground plugs but they fouled out in less then 2000 miles. Anyone have any experience with the Bosch F5DP0R side fire plugs as recommended by JHM/CTS? What have you guys had the best luck with?

You were using the FR5DTC before right? If those fouled up there is an issue somewhere else because those are one of my favorite plugs ever.

    When does the misfire occur?

I have a cold start miss and a nasty hesitation between 3000-4000rpm right about when full boost comes on, leaned it out to about 12:1 AFR under WOT but other then that everything checks out. Only thing I can think of is it needs injectors because ive done everything else I can possibly think of.

Injector is a big possibility, we have to replace injectors on several B8 A4s locally.

    Have you inspected the catalyst?

Yea, specially after the misfiring. We had seen it happen before where a partially clogged cat was causing hesitation at a particular RPM range.

Yes, they are fantastic plugs. I just prefer the FR5DTC because they are cheaper.

Are you sure you don't have a vacuum leak somewhere? If you have a a turbo muffler delete, especially the one from CTS, take it out and check the seal. Mine was blown (looked melted) and replacing it with rtv silicone smoothed out my idle and improved my fuel trims. I need to get a new seal to make it permanent. The rtv silicone was not a permanent fix. Its back to idling rough and poor fuel trims. I'm guessing the rtv melted or failed under boost.

I checked the cat when I put it on several months ago, catalyst looked good. No turbo muffler delete, stock turbo setup with silicone hoses and the ECS intercooler. I've checked it for vacuum leaks, nothing i can locate, no excessive vacuum in the crankcase at all. Intake ports were cleaned last year, new timing chain/tensioner, new vvt control valve, new cam actuator magnet, fixed the broken screen on the cam bridge. New intake manifold as well.

I get them for about $10.23 a piece, which isnt too bad if they will solve my problem and last a bit longer then the copper plugs. I am showing the stock heatrange as being 7 for NGK and that cross references to a 5 on bosch, so these are both factory heat range plugs you recommend? No real reason they should have fouled out unless the car was running rich which I haven't found anything out of the norm thus far. It's not a k04 car but i have the k03 running balls out, a little over 20psi at WOT.
