    C7 Downpipes/Exhaust Question

Has anyone ran the Russian Ebay Downpipes? I know a lot of guys run apr or ams dp's. i understand going that route if you're going with cats but catless i cant personally justify spending more than double for a set of downpipes since they serve the same purpose. while running catless i realize ill have to use O2 spacers to avoid CEL's. i will be going stage 2 EPL here in the next month or so after i take care of some maintenance.

*** side note*** I also found out yesterday while at my local exhaust shop that the PO hacked the rear mufflers off as opposed to the front resonators which i initially thought. the "Suitcase" and the front resonators remain. I'm thinking about deleting the suitcase with either an X pipe or straight pipe while leaving the resonators. The only "sound suppression" I would have would be the factory cats and the resonators. i imagine that would be extremely loud and unpleasant, especially for this car. my last car was 3in straight pipe from the turbo back ( my neighbors hated me on cold mornings). I think i'm going to try it then if it is deafening and drones a bunch i will put some mufflers on it. i personally like the tune-ability of going custom as opposed to pre made kits...idk maybe im in the minority.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks all!

Are you doing these mods for sound or performance? If the latter you may want to rethink the idea. I ran just about the same trap speeds with bone stock downpipes and a bone stock catback as I did with APR downpipes and a completely open exhaust. This is at stage 3 power levels on 104 octane fuel too.

Main reason is sound, i would run the downpipes to keep the engine may temps down as well. those huge cats in there are little furnaces.
