    Service after the sale?

    The salesman who sold me my 2016 A5 last week wants to come to the house on Friday evening "to go over more of the features of the car." Is this normal for an Audi salesman to make a "house call" like that? At first I said "sure" but now I'm wondering - wait, really? Why?

    Usual procedure or out of the norm?

    Happened to me. It wasn't the actual salesman but rather the dealers Technology specialist. He contacted my wife a week or so after we took delivery.

    Easier and SAFER to bring the car to the dealership, if you think you need more tutorial information... Don't let him dictate where and when... that's up to YOU...

    Sorry to believe that there may be "other" motives for his desire to meet...

    If you are in fact a "Beach Girl" & the sales person is a male, I would strongly suggest having at least one "friend" present when the guy arrives. Tell the Audi person your friend is interested in Audis so you invited them to sit in & learn.
    No aspersions on your dealer but in this day & age, you can never be too careful. Calling up after the sale & delivery & offering to make a personal visit is not unheard of but is somewhat unusual. Usually they will make the offer at delivery that they are available if you have questions later, or they will call after a few days & see if you have questions that can be answered on the phone.
    Common sense & your "gut feelings" are your best protection.

    Ok, thanks. I'm a "girl" only in my own mind, have been married for more than 30 years which puts my "girlhood" days well behind me, and am old enough to be this guy's mother, easily. He seems a very pleasant person and was superb in actually finding exactly the car I wanted, no small trick. Of course my address is no secret since it's on all the papers we (husband and I) signed. He's done nothing that made me the least bit suspicious of him personally, but just the idea of it, after a day or so, made me tilt my head wondering if this was standard procedure or not.

    I've never had this happen to me or anyone else I know (male or female). You can always give the dealership a quick call and talk to the receptionist, just ask them if it's their usual procedure.

    It is not uncommon to do a second delivery at the dealer, but hey are probably just trying to go the extra mile for you. It is not too unusual for customers to ask for second deliveries at their house or business if they are busy. I think his service is good, but if you are more comfortable doing it at the dealer let him know.
