    Launch Control Limit - RS3

    Is there a launch control limit on the US 2017+ RS3? If so, why is it not mentioned in the user manual?

    Hello,

    With the Dynamic Plus Package the top speed limiter is increased to 174 mph for the 2018 RS 3. Otherwise, it is limited to 155 mph. Of course, I would be remiss not to remind you to obey all speed and traffic laws.

    My question is about the launch control, not the top speed. There are numerous people claiming that the launch control feature can only be used 200 times and then it will never work again. This is not mentioned anywhere in the user manual.

    From what I know, you have around 100 launches or so until you void the warranty.

    If it’s anything like the B8 S4 the number of launches has nothing to do with warranty. Factory programming gives you 200 launches and after that launch control no longer engages.

    I remember the trainer saying something along that line at Audi 101 training. That was a few years ago but I remember the limit was 100.

    From the RS3 forum, the consensus is that it is set to a limit of 200 launches.

    A TCU tune should remove the limit. I don't believe any TCU tunes have been officially released yet.

    I would believe the Frank at Iroz has surpassed 200 launches on his RS3 and I know they are testing a TCU tune. So putting 2 + 2, the tune should remove the limit.
