    Spark Plug Question

I have an Audi S3 for which I just performed the required spark plug change at 35,000 mi. It looks like there was some kind of yellow dielectric grease on the top of the OEM spark plugs that were removed. Does this grease need to be reapplied to the new spark plugs? Does it make a difference?

If you mean the top that slides into the boot, yes, you should always use dielectric grease there to prevent any moisture from getting into the boot and contaminating the connection. Plus it makes it easier to get the rubber boot off.

Didn't know this. I'll keep this in mind when I replace my plugs.
