Just curious what you guys max requested rail pressure is on the jhm stage 2 tune? I'm chasing some fuel demons and haven't been able to get in touch with Jhm. My max requested is 118.4 bar with the stage 2 hpfp tune. Does this sound right?

Have you tried contacting JHM directly? I'm only stage 1 so not sure mine would be the same.

The rail pressure seems about right. AFAIK the JHM tune doesn't really increase the rail pressure, it just allows for the pump to maintain that pressure throughout the rev range.

Yeah I've asked jhm twice now if this is a normal pressure as most hpfp tunes request 130 bar. They won't give an answer, instead just ask for logs. Sent them in two weeks ago. I'm not bashing on jhm as I'm sure there busy, but Im getting some bad timing pull and can't figure it out.

If anyone could help me out (I'm in PA) I'd be more than willing to log so we can get comparisons, I just haven't had extra funds to get vagcom. At the very least post up what blocks you would want measured and I can start hunting for someone near me that could log it. (Sorry I'm a complete noon with vagcom)

Usually the logs that are asked for are 003, 103 and 106.

This is what they asked for-
002-001-031, 3rd gear, turbo mode on, 1500-Redline WOT
003-103-140, 3rd gear, turbo mode on, 1500-Redline WOT
003-106-140, 3rd gear, turbo mode on, 1500-Redline WOT
002-001-032, Idle, after a long drive to let long term set in

The only thing I can think of for the 118 bar rail pressure is that my car is an early 06, and would of came from the factory with a rev cams and like a 110-116 bar prv. So them creating tunes that run with factory hardware they would set lower values. Hence why there's several stage 1 an 2 tunes for different ecu box codes?.

I still haven't heard anything back so I tore the intake off again to check the injector condition and carbon. I also pulled the lpfp and cleaned the internal filer and check condition. Also replaced the fuel filter again. What I found was nasty carbon gunk on the valves again and the injectors looked terrible. I just did a good carbon clean in January and have only put maybe 5,000 miles on it since. I knew my old vc leaked internally so about 1,000 miles ago I picked up another used one but it also leaked internally so I guess that's why all the gunk. I haven't done another carbon clean yet but I have done the following- cleaned injector tips, cleaned all oil residue from ic's and pipes, cleaned maf+map sensor, cleaned cam sensor, lpfp cleaned with new filter, fuel line blown out and checked for kinks. Lp and hp sensors cleaned.
From doing the following an plugging the vc and venting to atmosphere, fuel trims have improved to +1.8/ +5.5. It's still adding a bit more fuel than I'd like but the car is running much better now.
