Just a heads up..water pump failure,apprently it can catch on fire.All 2.0 TFSI engines affected

I saw an article about that the other day. I think they're supposed to start sending out notices in June. I still need to take my car in for the auxiliary heater recall.

I am probably going to wait to get both done at the same time.

I just called and scheduled my apt. They said nothing about coolant/water pump recalls on my car (2014 a4) but the aux heat was the only recall listed. Should I be worried about anything?

The aux heater job is a bit time consuming, but at least in my case and others, the repairs were done well.

The recall notice goes out in June.

Parts won't be available till November, according to an article I read on it.
