I've been using Meguiars Ultimate Quick detailer during the towel drying stage and as a clay bar lube and my bottle just ran out. I'd be interested in trying something new. Convince me there's something better

(fwiw, my car is not well paint corrected, and has s100 wax applied. car is white)

Ammo Hydrate is next level when used as a drying aid (its purpose). You can just use your clean wash soap solution as clay lube after you wash your car.

I know it’s old school but I’ve been using Zaino’s line for years. Never had a problem with the products or the paint; just a problem with the cost. They are expensive and offer no discounts on shipping.

Make your own and thank me later. Distilled water, CarPro ECH20 and a few ounces of CarPro Reload. Excellent hydrophobic properties, shines great and last weeks. Super easy to use and mix up.

Can this diy solution be used as a maintenance item for Cquartz UK or should should Reload by itself be used?

Reload is a true maintenance for Cquartz however the detailer I described when used regularly will lengthen the time between needing reload full strength.

I use Zaino z6 detail spray. It provides a great shine effect and doesn't leave any marks.

As suggested by someone in the F11 TopCoat thread, I've been using the Mothers Speed Clay 2.0 when I apply quick detailers. Works great.

Wolfgang Uber Detailer is great for detailing. Or ONR diluted is great as a detailer and extremely cost effective.

    Quick detailers

Very happy with Kenotek QD (smell is great too) best one I have tried. I also use ONR off and on along with Sonax Brilliant Shine to maintain my CC36 coating.

Kenotek is my favorite and a little goes a long way, great on glass too.

For a non ceramic coated car, I keep a bottle of chemical guys speed wipe in the trunk to clean up bird crap and what not. I use optimum spray wax as a drying aid.

    Ammo makes some solid products.

OP- I will add in Gtechniq's quick detailer. I used it for two reasons. One, as a drying aid. It removes light water marks, adds gloss to the paint as well as some slickness. Two, as a way to keep my cars clean. Obviously use your better judgement because I use it for light dust, pollen, bird poop, and maybe some road spray on what is a clean car. I'd recommend the Gtechniq C2V3 liquid crystal to be paird with it as a silica spray so you at least have some sort of protection against UV, water, and dirt (one coating lasts up to 6 months). It is inexpensive in my book, easy to use, and you can apply as many coatings of it as you would like.
