    need some help/advice testing my fuel injectors off of the car already

    I am doing a headgasket job right now and i am in the process of reassembling... but I was having some misfire issues from the dreaded p0089 error code thread i started last year on this forum.

    I am wondering... what is the specifications for resistance for the fuel injectors?

    I did try using my cheapo multimeter on them and the resistance kept bouncing around between 16 and 2 ohms for every injector and it wouldnt settle.

    I have new seals and teflon rings... i didnt really want to buy new injectors until i can prove these are bad.

    Take them to the shop and have them hook it up to an injector testing rig; they'll ultrasonic them and test them for the spray angle, among other things. You can check the resistance at home with a multimeter in Ohms setting. It should be between 12 & 20 ohms @20 degrees celcius between the two electrical pins. Usually if it goes to a lower value means that you're not getting a consistent reading. Try pressing a little harder on the pins until you get a consistent reading.
