This is not suppose to happen .. is it??

Long story short i had a big boost leak couldn't find had to pull the engine. Once i pulled it i found that my waste gate line was completely torn only held on by sleeve hence why pressure gauge needle in boost leak tester was not even moving&why i was getting aggresive throttle cut at 3k rpm. Got that and a few other small leaks fixed now absolutely no leaks once i apply air to system in gauge needle moves right away and builds pressure right away but as soon as i stop applying air it slowly goes back down.. and here's the part thats throwing me off its releasing air through the oil cap hole .. thats not suppose to happen is it?
I had the oil cap off so when i applied air i put my hand over the hole and can feel air coming out. No leaks anywhere else...
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    That’s totally normal.

Air will escape slowly and you will hear oil “bubble” in the pan and escape from the oil cap which is why we remove the cap when we do a leak test from the Y Pipe.

Are you getting a lot of air coming out of the pancake valve?

It would mean you have a bad pancake valve.
