Alcantara vs Leather doors

I am going to see a 2016 RS7 located at a dealer out of town later next week. I have a deposit down on it and am fairly certain this is the car for me. I noticed something in the pictures- the doors appear to be all leather, with no Alcantara. I thought the Alcantara inserts were standard on all models, but I am not certain. Can someone explain this to me?

I think, like a lot of options, on earlier models it was available on prestige models. then in later models it moved down market and became standard across the model line.

Those door panels look really plain, and that car is post-facelift. Weird. The ones on my 2018 look way nicer, and I like the inserts to be Alcantara, since it looks better, and you don't touch it. Alcantara where you touch is crap; it gets ugly fast. Leather instead of Alcantara wouldn't be a deal-breaker to me, but wish the panels were like the newer cars. Good luck with the purchase.

This. Just say no to things like Alcantara steering wheels, shift knobs, and imo seats.

My 2016 RS7 has Alcantara door panels. Not sure what’s going on there.

I asked and they said the doors are all leather. I am in canada, we dont have prestige here, just performance or standard. It is pretty disappointing if they are leather.

Don't be too disappointed, if it means that much to you have it covered in genuine Alcantara, it's not that difficult, and the cost isn't too bad either. That's if you are buying and plan to keep it.

Mine is also a 2016 and are leather as well. I too wish they were alcantara.

However, I see this vehicle has B&O which IMO is quite nice.

Strange, I dont see it as an option anywhere, so why do some cars have it and not others? Trying to find a 2016 canada order guide...

That's Audi for you, may not have been an option in CA? That stuff never stops me... I just built my own! LOL-

Doesnt show anything relating to alcantara door inserts that can be selected, so why do some 2016s have it and not others?
