PRICE DROP: alcon mono-6 calipers, stasis 370mm rotors, all hardware: $2000 shipped

been waffling on selling these for a long time, but i finally need them gone. Price reduced to $2000.

the calipers have about 10K miles on them since they were powder coated blue with avus silver "alcon" logos.
aside from one rock chip on the leading edge of one caliper (see photo), the paint is in nice shape.

as pictured, the rotors are just over 31mm thick. these started at 32mm and should be replaced when they drop under 30mm, so they are at roughly half-life.

the brake pads (carbotech bobcats) are also at half-life (6.5mm of pad left)

all brackets and bolts needed to mount them up to a b7 are included, along with resistor stubs for the brake pad sensors (should you continue to elect to use a pad that doesn't accommodate a sensor).

this kit retailed for over $3000.

    Thanks for looking :-)

    How has nobody bought these!?!

Fun fact: Running the same combo, I've put over 50k on the rotors and they're also at 31mm. For those of you replacing OE rotors all the time, do the math...

I feel like the difficulty to find replacement discs and their associated cost, is the biggest turn off for most people considering these. Perhaps that might change, as I've heard that the company is trying to get back up and running again.

The only difficult parts to source are the brackets (I have an extra set if anyone is in need), and the rotor hats. Neither of which are wear items. The rotor discs can be purchased from Alcon, rotor hardware are standard k-nuts, and all the components needed to rebuild calipers are available off the shelf. As long as you're not in an accident where you physically destroy the Stasis-specific bits, the kit should last as long as the car.

So excuse my ignorance here but is this a direct fit on the B7 RS4 or minor/major modifications would be needed?

I’m conscious that I need to change the front rotors for the next service so as Koolade9 mentioned, financially this seems to make sense if this setup lasts longer than OEM

Guessing new disc rotors are in order so as to start off fresh? Anybody now how much these sell for?

And a rebuild on the calipers or not necesarry?

Whats would the alternative for the rear rotors be so it matches the hook design in the front?

    Thanks!

I’m conscious that I need to change the front rotors for the next service so as Koolade9 mentioned, financially this seems to make sense if this setup lasts longer than OEM I'll include the disclaimer that pad selection greatly affects rotor life. The Carbotech Bobcats included with this kit are what I run on the street as well

Guessing new rotor discs are in order so as to start off fresh? These have plenty of life left. You shouldn't have to worry about replacements for quite a while

Anybody know how much these sell for? I haven't purchased from these guys, but they've got everything you need: http://alconkits.com/stasis-parts

Is a rebuild on the calipers necessary or not? IMO, Not on this set. When you replace the rotors rings in a few years, consider it then

What would be the alternative for the rear rotors be so it matches the hook design in the front? This part I can't help you with (I run slotted Giro rears), but I'm certain I've seen a few guys running crescent rotors in the rear. Might need to search a bit.

    Thanks!
