    Front driver door not unlocking

Anyone here experience an issue with the front driver door not unlocking? It locks just fine but it will not unlock when using the keyfob anymore and I have to manually open the door using the key. Could this be a bad lock actuator? Anyone know what it costs to replace or have a DIY guide to swap it out? Thanks in advance!

Can you unlock it using the switch on the door?

Do you have the locking set for the key fob to unlock the driver's door only, or all 4 doors? If set for the driver's door only, change the setting in the MMI for the key fob to unlock all doors. Once that's done, see if the key fob will unlock all four doors, or only the 3 non-driver's doors. That will isolate the problem further, to involving only the driver's door, or if no doors unlock, it could be a problem in the key fob. Post your results too!

Just checked and it’s not a key fob issue. Trying to unlock by using the touch switch on the door gets me the same result. I hear it trying to unlock but it just gets stuck so I have to use the physical key. It’s weird because it will lock just fine but won’t unlock. Lubricated the lock with some WD40 but same result.

    Gotta be an actuator issue.

The actuator is part of the door latch assembly, part number 8J1837015F. If you need to replace it, it's available from europaparts.com for $165.98. It's possible that one of the connectors is not fully seated/making a solid connection, since it will lock, but not unlock. Or some piece of the assembly that handles the unlocking sequence is broken (hence you hear a noise when attempting to unlock, but the actual unlocking sequence never completes). You're probably going to have to get inside the door panel and investigate further.
