Car starts, idles for a second or two and cuts off. Happens every once in a while, but not often. I’ve had it looked at and it’s been narrowed down to a fuel pump or something in the lobe. Also throws fuel regulator code but I’ve been told by a mechanic that’s not it. If anyone has any input i’d love to hear it.

Better pull that HPFP/follower first and have a look. Start there

What is the exact code you are getting? How many miles on the car?

A mechanic did mention something about it could be a cam but they wanted another 1000 to test before the cost of repairs. Wanted to see what i could look for on my own first.

Looks like you have multiple issues:

For P0089, your first step should be to check the cam follower. Here is the DIY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jCzoQcDEkQ
For P0442, P0445, Check if the gas cap is loose or you can replace it.
For P2181, while driving you are on a freeway if the engine temperature indicator needle is dangling towards left side from the middle, then your thermostat is bad. DIY: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...lacement-(DIY)
