My friends hood latch got disconnected. Happen to me on my B7 but it was fairly easy to do it manually i removed my belly pan and took a 2 foot scrwdriver and opened the latch with th screw driver. Now is this the same procedure on the b6?

yes, or you can carefully remove the grill on the b6 and unbolt the latch mechanism from the hood.

I found this the easiest way myself as well.. especially on the 3.0.

You will need a long 10mm box wrench.
