I am thinking of having Air intake install on my Audi S4 2018. Has anyone done it? and is it beneficial?

Does it void the warranty? and what's the cost?

Forgive me here; I understand that everyone's mechanical abilities are different, but is it really worth $180 to complete this install?

Thanks, I am not mechanically inclined, and I just don't want to mess it up. In any case, Is it worth it ? Should I go through with it?

I understand where you're coming from, but honestly, there's little you could really mess up other than the CF on that new intake. An intake is quite easy to install, just take your time. I think you could handle this set of directions, if you can handle making something like easy mac.

I like to learn about my car, and enjoy completing tasks I haven't tackled in the past to gain more understanding. I personally couldn't fathom paying an additional 21% to have someone follow the directions in the linked PDF for me. That said, I also do not have an aftermarket intake. I find them to be noisy and that they provide little benefit over a closed system for my platform. If it were me, I'm sure I could find numerous other mods that I would see as a better allocation of my $865, but its totally dependent upon your preferences being that it's your dime.

    Swoosh! Swoosh!

kpalakode, I looked at the instructions, they are very well written. Steps 1 & 8 look like the hardest ones. If you think you can handle those, you probably could do the whole install. If $180 is worth peace of mind for you, I respect that too.

I support this as well. I don't DIY everything across the cars and home. We work hard to earn money. Sometimes it's nice to just hit the easy button.

Thank you for the help. I am going to try and do it myself.

I just want to make sure that replacing it wouldn't downgrade the HP or cause it to be faulty. Are OEM air intake typically better or it's pretty safe to mod it with the AWE air intake?
