rns-e install harness (Symphony 2 to rns-e with SAT and CD, no bose)

    Hi.
Anyone have this harness laying around? It's somewhat confusing when checking the diy guides: 1. the suppliers seem to be defunct (e.g. navparts, etc.) 2. the guides imply that bose, CD, SAT all require specific quadlock adapters... but the ebay ones do no differentiate.

If anyone can help or has any tips, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks!

I've never seen harnesses listed as differing between the Bose and non-Bose. You could try crutchfield, or just get an eBay kit

That kit should allow for SAT and CD changer install? I should only need an CD changer cable....? Thanks.

My apologies, didn't realize you were adding to the retrofit. You'll either need to purchase individual harnesses for each, or make your own. If you're choosing the latter, I recommend using the wiring diagram from elsawin.
    I've PMd you some diys.

+1. I've used the off-brand eBay harnesses as linked above in both my B7 (non-Bose) with Symphony 2, as well as my B5 (Bose), and can confirm it works in both without issue.

I can't speak to what might be needed for sat nav or CD changer functionality as I have neither.

FYI, Kufatec will have everything you need. I bought a refurbed RNS-D for my B5 from them with the CAN integration harness. Cost 212 euros and was here faster than ECS could ship out a regularly stocked item.

I think the quadlock harness is pretty universal. At most, you may have to switch a few pins around. The only difference between Bose & non-Bose should be that one of the connectors that comes off of the quadlock does/doesn't get used depending on if it's Bose or not.
I'm not certain on the SAT and CDC but that looks to be independent of the quadlock adapter.

    Have you browsed here?

I picked one up from Europarts along with the antena adapter for $74.85 after tax and shipping. The link to the parts is http://www.euro-parts.us/store/index...&product_id=50
