"TSB vs TD1" Does being flagged for TD1 give right for denial of TSB work?

Hi, I'd like to get some input on this topic. Does being flagged for TD1 give right for denial of TSB work?

Since TSBs are not recalls, and fall under warranty work (even TSBs for out of warranty vehicles); and TDI voids the vehicle warranty... would seem that there is there is plenty of room to deny performing them.

Need to be more specific though, as “it depends” (dealer, actual work and what the flag is for) is the real answer.

It has been argued and won... if a TSB or warranty claim is made for vehicle component, not related to the TD1 flag, then that component is covered.

Example: tuned ECU, but claim for a sunroof issue....
Family comes First!.... Nice cars a close second.

For topless Summer fun... 2013 Volcano Red S5 Cabriolet Prestige, Black Optics Grill, Rear Valance, Tint, IE Down Pipes... SOLD!

Semi-Daily Driver: 2016 A8L, Glacier White... Where to begin with the mods??? SOLD!

If the TSB is not for something that the TD1 is affective on- it should be valid.

Hello, I'd like to chime in here if possible.....

The answer will always depend on the official diagnosis from a certified Audi dealership to determine if TSB/warranty work is indeed related to an aftermarket modification or tune, or if the warranty can be applied. As a general policy, Audi of America does not promote or endorse any modification that would alter the original engineering of the vehicle. At the very least, there is a chance that this type of work may not be covered through Audi of America leading up to completely voiding the New Vehicle Limited Warranty depending on the type of modification. I'm happy to review further, but would require additional information on the situation.

    Thank you,
    Vincenzo F.

I just purchased a 2015 A6 3 liter and the car is flat out amazing. So of course i have been looking up videos on u-tube and came across a few companys that offer a reflash of the factory ecu with substantial gains. They also claim in wont effect factory warranty.I dont plan on going forward with this, but i can see how temting it is.

If you believe their claim that it won't void your warranty then I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

I’d also like to chime in on what you just said.

You guys do promote modified vehicles, let’s just take a few examples from Audi’s verified instagram account.

As you can see in all of the photos that Audi’s official account reposted, all of them are lowered and on rims. Altering/ modifying the original engineering of the vehicle. Now the definition of endorsing reads “To declare one's public approval or support of.” Now If posting photos of modified Audi’s on your 11 million plus instagram account isn’t showing public approval I don’t know what is.... Thanks.

If you want a tune, I'll tell you this don't ever give corporate on the forums your Vin number or your name. They will best believe flag your car. Keep the grass low, you gotta see the snakes coming.
