    Rear brake line removal question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Gentlemen, searched through the first 10 pages of results on caliper replacement and couldn't find a clear answer so I'll ask here.

When replacing the rear calipers, on the brake line side closest to the caliper, there is a 14mm nut attached to a threaded rod which then attaches to the caliper. This assembly and the brake line itself doesn't seem rotate, causing an interesting predicament where I literally had to rotate the caliper over and over to remove it.

There has to be a better way to remove this brake line from the caliper. I need to find it as I don't want to risk the powdercoat finish when I reinstall the calipers.

    Any advice?

You should remove the top part of the brake like first then undo the lower part.
