Bluetooth Mic Issues

Has anyone had any issues with the quality/clarity of their Bluetooth mic specifically for phone calls? Mine seemed to work perfectly when I bought the car two years ago but for the past 6-12 months, I've consistently had to switch back to my iPhone. Everyone complains stating it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel (windows up), or that they just general can't hear me and it sounds like we have a bad connection. When I switch back to phone all is well.

You can see my mod list in my sig, but the ones that could have an effect would be: low on KW HAS, 034 drivetrain bits/RSB, 295s, AWE Touring, Thule Aeroblade edge racks. I wouldn't suspect this thou as the ride is still so quiet in the cabin, very low road noise and no regular drone.

May need to have it checked out/replace the mic. Has anybody experienced anything similar?

I've encountered this a couple of times - both times it was related to bluetooth radio firmware upgrades embedded within iOS updates. On the first occasion, it was addressed (rather quietly by Apple) in a smaller update that occurred a couple of weeks later. On the second occasion, removing and reconnecting the phone within MMI solved the problem.
