    S4 Fan Assembly

So I've been trying to figure out exactly the parts that I need for my s4 build, however this stuff just gets confusing when it comes to interchanging pieces, that's why I'm here :)

What I'm trying to figure out here is the compatibility of the radiator fan assembly on a 2012 b8 s4. Everytime I search for the part on eBay, I get compatibility results with the b8 A4/A5 so I decided to trust eBay and even asked the sellers if it's compatible and they claimed that there shouldn't be any issues getting the part to fit on my s4. So the part comes in and I realize that there is only 1 connector on the assembly, while on my car there are 2 connections.

Is there anyway to modify the a5 fan I received so that it works with my s4? Or can I just ignore one of the connections from my car and just have it running like that?

There are actually 2 electric fans on the S4: the larger one is for the radiator and the other is the A/C condenser fan. Each has a connector. See post #11 at this thread which shows the part numbers and pictures of the fans. The remainder of that thread should be helpful as well. Are you rebuilding an S4 that was involved in a front-end accident and didn't have all the parts (fans, shroud, etc.)? Here's a diagram from genuineaudiparts.com that shows what you should have on your 2012 S4:

2023 S5 Sportback | Prestige | District Green | Rotor Gray Napa | Sport Diff | Black Optics | Satin Bronze HRE RC104s
    Gone but not forgotten - 2011 S4 | Prestige | Jet Blue | HRE R40s
