Where is everbody mounting their gauges these days?

I have an AFR, boost, and aquamist methanol controller gauge to mount in the car but I don't really see any good options anymore for a clean mounting solution. The boost and the AFR gauges are 52mm, the aquamist gauge is smaller, I think 45mm.

Boost gauge is currently mounted on the steering column with a podi gauge pod, and I thought about doing a dual-pod from them but they don't sell them anymore.

ECS has a 52mm vent pot for the center vents, but I don't really like the solid plate design which blocks the air flow through the vent. The color also seems off. They have one which does not block the flow through the vent, but that only comes in the smaller size.

I've tried chopping up the plastic and making my own but it just looks sloppy, hoping for a cleaner solution. Anyone want to post up how they did theirs?

I just cut my stock heater vent to fit my gauge. Go slow and it looks fine.

I have an AEM boost and A/F gage each set up behind the wheel. There is also a methanol controller that hangs out on the left side of the wheel coming up from the kick pannel, I want to mount it up to the left of the oil temp sensor with some double stick tape once I re install the system. I have it just sitting there for the picture right now. It's wired but the system is not installed.

I like that dual pod from ATI.

Been considering a new pod myself because I need an A/F gauge and that looks like a great option.

    How’s the fit?

I can't say how hard it was to fit, the PO put it in. I can say that before this I had a center vent mount AWE boost gage that I liked very much, but this setup has absolutely grown on me. As far as blocking the tach and spedometer, picture #2 is a pretty good indicator, visibility is slightly better than in the picture from where I sit, but the gages can be swiveled about. I don't have any issues with it.

I got my boost and aem wide band in the heater vents. I want one more gauge but I might break down and fiberglass it. But I keep looking at the ash tray as a waste of space and would love to mount them in there

Just pull the ash tray out and get a peace of dimond plate I think it would be a little small for 52mm gauges. But you could also put it at an angle to see better and give you the inch if more room to you might need.

Just a thought I wish there was more hours in a day

Here's where mine are, I didn't want to take up any additional vents because it gets hot in Socal and having the AFR gauge right in front of me makes it easier to monitor. I use the Podi steering column gauge pod.

I used all three vents but didn’t like three different gauge styles so I fit a PODI gauge bezel to my aqua mist.

I use the PODI column for my boost gauge, what size is your vent pod, 45mm?

I used two center vents. AWE boost gauge and AEM afr gauge.

It would be in my C5 but Ive been thinking about removing the ashtray and then molding a holder for 2 gauges into the space but lending the actual face/surround into the shifter trim to make that one piece.

How do you like the Podi gauge? Have they gotten quicker to react? I remember when I had one I didn't like how laggy the electronic boost gauge was.

Correct, mine is the ECS product but I can't find it on their site sold individually anymore. Of course many people go the DIY route and trim out a stock vent to accommodate a gauge.

This. I went to Pick-N-Pull, got 3-4 vent sections, and tried a few methods to get it cut just right. Took about 2 hours total, and the gauges were installed very well.

I haven’t done it personally, but will do it when the time comes on my 1.8t.

Another option I haven’t seen posted yet is the defroster vent pod.

    Projectb5 has one.

Also there was a 3d print file going around a few months ago.

Based on your variety of set-ups, which locations are easier to view/more convenient?

I would say this was the best setup for my viewing/monitoring. Since, I got everything I needed to monitor in one gauge. But, everyone has there own opinion and preference.

It definitely not as quick as a mechanical gauge, but it gets the job done. I do prefer mech but like the podi because it just had a small connector and is programmable.

All 52mm, but no pods just cut out vents

I have the P3 gauge and love it, looking to add an afr in the center vent or steering column next.

I went ahead and tried cutting up a spare vent, it looks okay. I'd love for all the gauges to look as close to same as possible though, I might try those bezels too. You said you got them from PODI?

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I'll post pictures of mine when I'm all done.

I bought a matte black bezel from PODI, then unscrewed the bezel from my aqua mist gauge and turned it down some till it fit inside the podi bezel and epoxied them together.
