Exclamation Flooded S-line. Unclog your drains!

After parking my 2008 b7 s-line under some pine trees and cypresses for a few months, it's got the water drains clogged with needles and leaves and flooded the car after a hard rain overnight. Of course the Comfort Module was toast and I replaced it with a used one off Amazon. Seems like everything works, but keys need reprogramming and for some reason the alarm randomly activates after the car is manually locked with a key. a question to all B7 gurus: will reprogramming keys fix the problem? Below are photos of water damage to the module after sitting in water for three days.IMG_4353.jpgIMG_4365.jpgIMG_4366.jpgIMG_4367.jpgIMG_4368.jpgIMG_4369.jpg

Keep wondering how much time spent on designing those awesome cars and few important bits were missed which could disable the it!
I unclogged My drain recently and I always clean these areas when I wash the car.

I guess you need to re program your keys as you said and once the car recognise them the alarm should stop going. Good luck man.

Thank you @Dondbg! I guess the water got in through the compartment where battery sits, as it seems to always have water in it. I keep draining it through a plug conveniently provided by the designer, but sometimes the rain wins.))

I certainly hope so. I'm also thinking about either moving the ccm up somewhere or creating a more useful drain for the rain water near it. So that if it gets there, it doesn't go above the unit.

I had problems with the drain under the battery backing up twice. I got sick of it getting clogged and just removed the grommet. Hasn't got clogged since, I still regularly check when cleaning the car as well.
