Voltage drop/ rpm surge when using windows

I've noticed a little quirk in which the engine rpm and headlight brightness dips a bit when I use the windows. Due to a recent parasitic draw draining the battery I usually have a little cigarette lighter volt meter hooked up to keep an eye on the battery voltage, and the readings dip into the low 13v for a split second when I use the windows.
Is that the alternator regulator just taking a second to register the extra load from the windows or, is it going bad?

Normal. All of my B6s and my and B7 have done this. I guess those window motors have waaayyyy to much torque.

Here is a log I did awhile ago. I think the 'small' drops were just going up and down. The larger drops were pressing and holding UP when the window was already closed.

Yeah mine does this too. Probably normal for the old technology.

Even the MKIV VWs did this.

Motors have two impedances, the resistance of the wire in the windings and back emf. Back emf increases as speed increase. The current on a stalled motor is only limited by the motors windings and the leads connecting it to the power source. Anything connected to the same harness will see the voltage drops across the harness. The drop across the battery can be calculated if you know the batteries internal resistance ( quite low). Short story ( pun intended) is that stalled motors draw a lot of current.

Alright, Thanks for the input guys. The parasitic draw I was talking about was because of some water in the ECU box causing the fans to stay on when the key wasent in the ignition. I was worried that that may have messed up some of the wiring causing this odd behavior, but I guess it is to be expected with a 15 year old car...
