So it looks like the car was jacked up improperly or something hit this area near the bottom of the car but there seems to be a hole or damage near the front here. Is this repairable? Would anyone know a good shop that could do so in the tristate area?

Doesn't look like jack damage. Is it punctured thorugh? Its certainly fixable, but welding and griding there will leave bare metal inside the rocker that is hard to paint and may lead to rust. If it didn't puncture through and the paint is still on it, I'd just leave it alone. Similar thing happened on my bug when the tire change place lifted the car incorrectly and though it really annoyed me, I just left it be as the cure would have been worse than the damage.

Its certainly punctured through something, theres plastic thats on the other side that i don’t see here, i thought it could be heated up and pulled out then reshaped or something of that matter but I’m more concerned about water or other elements getting in there and causing rust or corrosion on the inner components that could cause future problems. Is that a possibility?
