Q5s bit better than oem and fine for daily. I'm sure upgraded over oem pads on s4 brakes would be fine also. Just dont do what most here do and downgrade to the low dust pads.

I agree these are heavy cars and imo if doing any tracking id do a 380mm stootech for $2400. Its alot of bang for the buck. Outside of that try some castrol srf and maybe brake ducts in the meantime

I went to SQ5 380mm. Inexpensive and very effective.

ST 380's sure do give me peace of mind when you give it the beans on an overpass or interchange and need to come down quickly, 120-60 would be dramatically improved with an upgrade (wink wink)
I did brakes Same day I went Stage 2 DP Ultra, and I was glad I had the stopping power as soon as I left the tuner.

local guy went sq5 380mm, he's pretty happy with it. As for pads, I went with EBC redstuff but the yellows I think are more aggressive.
Now that the weather is getting better, I'll push my car and planning on writing a review of the ebc slotted/drilled rotors with the redstuff F/R, Motul RBF600.

No point in adding weight to the car unless you need to

I'm dual pulley and waiting to upgrade my brakes until they need service. I'll definitely be going BBK, but to be honest it's 50/50 aesthetic and function to me. I already recognize that they'd be very useful.

I have the stoptech 380 just for peace of mind and if I wanted hit a track day all I would need to do is flush brakes and good to go. But I don't feel it was absolutely necessary, the stock brakes are enough for daily driving.

I purchased mine used and you installed myself which made it fairly inexpensive since I needed new rotors anyway. If it were 3K+ installed I wouldn't have done it, the SQ5 is good and better cooling, better fluid always helps

I went with the Brembo GT 380mm kit for weight saving and piece of mind before I went to stage 1. I hated the on/off feeling of the stock brakes and I wasn't willing to compromise braking performance by going with ceramic pads on factory calipers and rotors. Plus, it just looks oh so sexy behind my HRE wheels.

I will probably upgrade to stage 2 next year.
