    S6/7 to Porsche Macan GTS?

I’m looking into switching out of the S7 into a Macan GTS. Anyone here cross shop the two? I know they fall into diff categories but they do fall into same price range, both have a hatch and 4wd. The S7 is tuned stage I but not many opptys to open it up in the city. It is indeed fast but still feels boaty and no interest in doing after market suspension work, at least for now.

Interested to hear real world perspectives. I have 2 young kids so back seat space not an issue. Trunk space not an issue as finally out of stroller stage.

I used to work at Porsche, so I think I have a good experience here. They are very different cars, and I think the S7 has more room inside. The Macan GTS is probably the most fun to drive SUV on sale today. The steering in the Macan feels better than the Audi. It boils down to your needs and preference, but it certainly would not be a downgrade..

Yea def looking for fun while practical. Which I get in the s7 and want to maintain but still want to experience something new. Life short. Can always get back into an 2018 S6/7 a few yrs later when they’re “affordable” and still have a V8!

Interesting you should bring this up as the next two vehicles I am looking at to replace my 2014 S6 are a Macan GTS or the RS5 Sportback. As many have said, it comes down to needs and wants. The S6 drives "big" to me. It is an amazing distance cruiser, but you can feel the size and in even on some of the twisty mountain highways where I live, it just doesn't feel as planted as either my Cayman GTS or my wife's S3. Hence I want my next vehicle to be a bit smaller. Having owned 2 Cayennes in the past, I can tell you that nothing drives like a Porsche if you are an enthusiast that happens to need practicality. You will be giving up straight line speed and a little interior room in going to the Macan. In all the ways, I feel it is the better vehicle. But....maybe like me, you should consider the RS5 Sportback ????
Current Fleet: Porsche 718 Spyder * Audi S5 Sportback * Audi RS5 Sportback
    On order: Audi RSQ8 Performance
