    Flywheel chirping? & P0332 (G66)KnockSensor 2 CircuitLowInput-Bank2-A4 B7 FSI BGP MT

    Weekend Update:
I was able to isolate the noise to the area around the flywheel, it's a MT car.

If I press on that flexible plate area (not sure what it's called exactly) with a screwdriver a few times the chirping stops, but it eventually returns.
I reset the P0332 code and it went away for a while but eventually returned. Wondering if this noise is causing the CEL as maybe the sensor can't send the required voltage to the PCM.

Either way I need to get this chirping sound resolved, or at least to know it's safe to drive on and what the noise fix would be.
Sounds very similar to this guy on youtube (not mine but very close): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFzeJyHU0rY (starts around 40s into the link)

    Thanks!

    Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if the new (used) motor was actually knocking, would the knock sensor report P0332, or would it throw another code?

Just had a motor swap done due to failed oil pump ruining engine.
Had new timing belt/water pump done, replaced cam follower, and used the newer ignition coil/spark plugs from my old motor.

With the new (used) motor the car is now throwing a P0332 CEL and you can feel the power loss etc form being in limp mode.
I can sometimes hear noise that could be valves or something related to camshaft tensioner.
Noise seems to come and go at times so I'm trying to see what it could be and when it occurs (cold start, operating temperature, etc)
While I continue to gather that data, and maybe try and do a video, I wanted some input regarding the P0332 knock sensor code.

I've read that it usually seems related to a failed knock sensor or even just corroded connection, pinched wires, improper torque spec etc, but it's difficult to replace so I want to gather some additional info here first if possible.

    Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, is the noise a fast rattle that only happens at very light throttle (like 5%) while cruising?

No it happens at idle as well.
More of a constant chirping sound, looks to be transmission/clutch/bearing related

I actually have this. Rattle at low rpm That basically goes away completely with casual driving. I assume you may have some insight on the issue? It would be appreciated.
