the sunroof retracts in to a void between the headliner and roof, and it doesn't tilt up far enough to hit the bars. You can always just slide the bars back a bit to ensure you don't have issues if you are that worried. Now, if you overload the bars (like people tend to do) you could get in to trouble with the tilt feature.
