My A4 has a Symphony II+ radio and I recently installed a sat radio. Loving it. But now I want to bring my iPod into the picture.

I pulled a glove box iPod dock from another car (Part#: 8E0 857 925 D) and have finally found that it is a direct swap for CD Changer units - uses the same cable and is plug and play. Great - except I need to get the cable . . . . After weeks of searching and dead ends, I have finally run into this cable being sold in Europe.

So in my limited thinking, I am thinking that I can purchase an Enfig Audi Sat Pass 2 (http://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_AUDI_SAT_PASS_2.html). and everything will run the way it's supposed to - I get my iPod back an still have satellite radio available - and retain controls over both. Is this correct?

What worries me is that in the description for the CD changer retrofit cable, it says to remember to attach the K-Line

So now I have 2 questions:
1) Is the K Line necessary for this addition?
2) Is there anywhere in North America (Canada more specifically) where I can get this CD changer retrofit cable? Buying in Euros and the high shipping charge will run me $80 before taxes and duties. Seems very steep for a cable.
